Please join us at Capital City School for an informational session August 4, 2026.   Come Soar with Capital City.

After reviewing the documentation requirements below complete the Interest Form link to be contacted regarding possible placement.

Please note that students attending Capital City will not have their space held at their School of Residence. A request to transfer back to the School of Residence will be based upon availability at the site. 

Documentation Required

If possible, families should bring a fully charged chromebook or device for the online portion in addition to the following documents.

If the student(s) did not attend a school in Sacramento City Unified School District, or they attended a charter school in the district in 2026-2027:

  • Birth Certificate (REQUIRED)
  • Shot Records (REQUIRED)
  • Parent ID (REQUIRED)
  • Proof of address (REQUIRED; ie: SMUD, PG&E, or Paystub)
  • Court paperwork if there is any regarding custody

Don’t have Address Verification in Your Name? Please print and bring all the required documents to your registration appointment.

Primary/permanent residence: If you live in a Primary/Permanent Residence, submit a completed and signed Address Affidavit by you and the person you live with. Along with all the required documentation. (English, Spanish, Hmong, Chinese, Farsi, or Vietnamese)

Unhoused/homeless: If you are unhoused/homeless, submit a completed and signed Housing Survey (English, Spanish, Hmong, Chinese, Farsi, or Vietnamese).

If the student attended a school in Sacramento City Unified School District in 2025-2026 (by grade level):

Kindergarten
  • Birth Certificate (REQUIRED)
  • Shot Records (REQUIRED)
  • Parent ID (REQUIRED)
  • Proof of address (REQUIRED; ie: SMUD, PG&E, or Paystub)
  • Court paperwork if there is any regarding custody
Grades 1-6
  • Parent ID (REQUIRED)
  • Proof of address (REQUIRED; ie: SMUD, PG&E, or Paystub)
  • Court paperwork if there is any regarding custody
Grade 7
  • Shot Records, including a current TDAP (REQUIRED)
  • Parent ID (REQUIRED)
  • Proof of address (REQUIRED; ie: SMUD, PG&E, or Paystub)
  • Court paperwork if there is any regarding custody 
Grades 8-9
  • Parent ID (REQUIRED)
  • Proof of address (REQUIRED; ie: SMUD, PG&E, or Paystub)
  • Court paperwork if there is any regarding custody         
Grades 10-12       
  • Copy of Transcript from last school attended unless they were at Capital City (REQUIRED)
  • Proof of address (REQUIRED; ie: SMUD, PG&E, or Paystub)
  • Court paperwork if there is any regarding custody
